TEENA DENNIS has been teaching music since 1986. She earned her Bachelors Degree in Vocal Performance And Pedagogy and her Masters Degree in Music Education from Arizona State University. She studied voice with professor Warren Hoffer. Teena Studied piano with Patti Powell. She was mentored in choral conducting by Dr. David Stocker. Teena also studied with acclaimed vocal coach Thomas Blaylock.
Teena has performed nationally and internationally with the Arizona State University Choral Union. She has performed locally with the A.S.U. Concert Choir, University Choir and Collegium Musicum as well as with the Arizona State University Lyric Opera Theatre. Teena was chosen as a student conductor of the A.S.U. Graduate Chorale. She has also performed with the Phoenix Bach Choir and as a soloist and section leader with the Valley Presbyterian Chancel Choir.
Teena was director of music and choral conductor at Desert Haven Community Church in Tempe. She currently teaches music at Valley Presbyterian Church in Scottsdale. Teena has a passion for music and teaching. Her goal is to help each student develop a love for music and reach his or her full potential as a musician.
