Luba Brodsky graduated from the Mussorgsky College of Music in St. Petersburg, Russia, with a major in Piano Pedagogy and Performance. She also studied at Kneisel Hall in Maine with Seymour Lipkin.
Shortly after immigrating to the United States, she became accompanist for the Arizona State University Departments of Dance and Choral Music. She has also accompanied and recorded for Ballet Arizona.
Ms. Brodsky accompanied for the Department of Dance at the University of California Irvine. While there, she performed with such entertainers as Patrick Swayze, Irena Kolpakova, and Mikhail Barishnikov.
When it comes to teaching children, Ms. Brodsky treats them as individuals which allows them to co-create their learning process. This gives her much joy because she is able to actively facilitate, yet act responsively to their learning process. Her main focuses are theory, technique and sight reading. Keeping these themes in mind her students are able achieve great success.
