
Tony Masiello
Anthony (Tony) Masiello, D.M.A. is a clarinetist and an active member of the music community. He received his D.MA. in Clarinet Performance from Arizona State University in 2009. In addition to his doctoral degree, he holds a Masters of Music from Manhattan School of Music, and a Bachelor of Music from Queens College of C.U.N.Y.
Tony has received awards and grants in chamber music from “Artist International,” the National Endowment for the Arts, the Arizona Commission on the Arts, and the New York State Council on the Arts. Dr. Masiello is a former public school teacher. He worked for the Washington School District and the Scottsdale School District as a Band Director and as a teacher of General Music. He currently plays in, and is the Personnel Manager for, the West Valley Symphony and the Musica Nova Symphony Orchestra of Arizona. A multi-instrumentalist, Dr. Masiello also teachers Flute and Saxophone.
Dr. Masiello is an arranger/composer. He has produced arrangements for the Arizona Jazz Festival with Jamie Foxx and special arrangements for the West Valley Symphony on the music of Astor Piazzolla.
