Concerto for Clarinet and Strings by Malcolm Arnold

Concerto for Clarinet and Strings by Malcolm Arnold (transcription for clarinet and piano by the composer). Lengnick, 1952, SS. 36 + 8 pages. Dedicated to Frederick Thurston. It is in three movements: Allegro, Andante con moto, and Allegro con fuoco and is written in conservative style with little dissonance. The second movement requires the most technique with thirty second note arpeggios. It is a good concerto for a medium level college student. (C0559)
