Concerto in B-flat major for Chalumeau (Clarinet), Strings, & Basso continuo (Piano Reduction) by Johann Friedrich Fasch edited by Manfred Fechner. Hofmeister, 1995, SS, 16 + 4 pages. Johann Friedrich Fasch (1688-1758) was German composer who was a contemporary of J.S. Bach and Telemann. He composed cantatas, masses, overtures and concertos. This edition includes parts for Chalumeau (in C) and B-flat clarinet. In four movements: Largo, Un poco allegro, Largo, and Allegro. The work was written at a time when the Baroque style was assimilating some of the early Classic period features. The movements are relatively short with a total duration about 10:00 minutes. Good repertoire for intermediate players. (C1360)
