First Suite in E-Flat by Gustav Holst arranged for Clarinet Choir by Matt Johnston. Alry Publications, 2011, SS, includes parts and score. The original pioneering work for wind band was written in 1909 and is familiar to nearly all clarinetists. This arrangement is for E-flat Clarinet, 5 B-flat Clarinets, Alto Clarinet (alternate part for Basset Horn), Bass Clarinet, and Contrabass Clarinet/Contralto/String Bass. There is optional percussion: Percussion 1: Snare Drum, Triangle (one player), Percussion 2: Cymbals, Bass Drum, Tambourine (two players) and Timpani. This suite is in three movements: I. Chaconne, II. Intermezzo, and III. March. (C2523)
