Polyglot for clarinet quartet by Mike Curtis. Billaudot, 2012, SS. Includes parts (3 B-flat and bass clarinet) and score. The four instruments represent the cultures of four international friends: someone from the Middle East, a Mexican, an Afro-American, and a modern urbanite. They present themselves, converse, and engage in a series of dances. This piece was commissioned by the Portuguese group, Quarteto Vintage, for its performance at the 2009 ICA conference in Porto. There are a couple of low Ds in the bass clarinet part but it would be fine played on a low E-flat instrument. College level with a duration of 8:30. (C1981)
