Quartettino for Clarinet, Violin, Viola and Cello by Kokai Rezso. Editio Musica Budapest, 1972, SS, (includes parts and score). KÓKAI Rezső (1906-1962) was a Hungarian composer and musicologist. This four movement work was written in 1952. This work reflects the folk influences of the verbunkos, the czardas and other folk dances. The movements are: I. Sonatina (Allegro moderato), II Scherzino (Allegro assai), III. Canzonetta (Andante moderato, sempre molto rubato), and IV. Finaletto (Presto). This college level work with a duration of about 10 minutes is popular for this ensemble of instruments. (C1917)
