Anton Reicha (1770-1836) was a contemporary of Beethoven and is particularly know for his many woodwind quintets. This is a major work in four movements: Allegro, Andante, Menuetto, and Finale (Allegretto). The first and last movements of major proportion and in sonata form. It has a challenging, virtuoso clarinet part with string parts primarily in an accompanying role. (C0671)
