Sarabande for E-flat Alto Clarinet and Piano by Alfred Reed

Sarabande for E-flat Alto Clarinet and Piano by Alfred Reed. E.B. Marks Music, 1966, SS, 3 + 1 pages. As above, the direct source of this piece is the composer's Five Dances for Five Clarinets, but the melody will be familiar to any clarinetists who have performed Reed's Fifth Suite for Band. This is a slower piece, marked Lento. It isn't difficult but does utilize much of the instrument's range from a low F-sharp to an altissimo E at the end. Includes some performance notes. Duration is 3:40. (C1911)
