The origin of this piece is the score Arnold wrote for the 1954 film comedy You Know What Sailors Are. This "bubbling showpiece" was written for Jack Thurston. After a short Moderato introduction the piece takes off with a catchy Allegro melody followed by a short Lento section and the return of the Allegro melody to the end. This will be a real audience pleaser and may find a place in college and professional recitals (possibly as an encore). Duration about 2:45. (C1230)
