Sonata Brève for Clarinet in B-flat by Pierre Max Dubois

Sonata Brève for Clarinet in B-flat by Pierre Max Dubois. Alphonse Leduc, 1965, SS, 7 pages. In four movements: Allegro brillante (2/4), Vivo et leggero (2/4 + 3/16), Andante simplice (4/8) and Alla breve (2/2). Has has strong sense of rhythm and is similar to much French music written in the first third of the twentieth century. Facile technique and a quick tongue is needed, but the range is generally confined to the lower two registers. Quite long for a solo piece (14:00); it is good repertoire for advanced college level students. (C0268)
