Sonata Op. 109 for clarinet and piano by Edwin York Bowen. Emerson Edition, 1985, SS, 38 + 14 pages. Bowen (1884-1961) was an English composer and professor of piano at the Royal Academy of Music. This piece was dedicated to Pauline Juler (who was also the dedicatee of the Finzi Five Bagatelles) in 1943. It is in three movements: I. Allegro moderato, II. Allegretto poco scherzando, and III. Finale (Allegro molto con fuoco). College level. (C0743)
