This Black Diamond mouthpiece is made from ebonite.  Bernard Van Doren crafted the first BD5 by hand in the 1970s and forty years later, armed with cutting edge technology, Vandoren is able to precisely re-create that same exceptional mouthpiece each and every time. The Black Diamond family continues to expand and provides the clarinetist with a dark, yet colorful sound.  BD5 - standard pitch (A=442) or French pitch.
