The book starts at the intermediate level but progresses relatively quickly to more challenging material. While many of the exercises modulate through various keys the written key signatures are not more than 3 sharps or flats. Several of the caprices near the end of the book have a theme and variation structure. These are also in C095: Artistic Studies Book 3 and 18 of the Caprices are in C1359: Capricen Op. 1-3 for Clarinet. This book has slightly clearer printing than the Carl Fischer edition. (C0152)
