An original composition in the flamenco style, this piece opens with an unbarred Moderato, molto rubato recitative/cadenza over sustained piano chords. The middle of the piece is at a moderato tempo (but with plenty of notes) in mixed meter (3/4, 6/8, 5/8, 8/8). Near the end, a portion of the Moderato, molto rubato returns followed by the Presto conclusion. College level. (C1867)
