Adiós a la Alhambra for Clarinet and Piano by Jesús de Monasterio arranged by Pedro Rubio and Ana Benavides. Bassus Ediciones, 2015, SS, 7 + 3 pages. Jesús de Monasterio (1836-1903) was a Spanish composer and violinist. This piece was originally written for violin in 1855. In 1873 a version for clarinet (which has not survived) was played in the presence of the composer by the famous Spanish clarinetist Antonio Romero. Versions for both B-flat and A clarinet are included, with the A clarinet probably the preferred instrument. Tempos are Andantino and Allegretto. (C2334)
