Alles Walzer for Clarinet Quartet or Septet by Viola Falb

Alles Walzer for Clarinet Quartet or Septet by Viola Falb. Doblinger, 2015, SS, includes parts and score. Viola Falb is an Austrian composer and musician (piano, saxophone, clarinet, flute, etc.). While this piece is a tribute to the composer's native city of Vienna it isn't a conventional waltz in any sense. It is in 5/8 (and other odd meters) and is intended to be playful, challenging, on one had and melancholy and quiet on the other. It may be played in two versions, one for three clarinets and bass clarinet and the other for five clarinets and two bass clarinets (low C bass clarinets recommended--especially on the part used for the quartet). There is a short solo on the bass clarinet part(s). (C2295)
