Amicizia for Clarinet Solo by Ingvar Lidholm. Nordiska Musikförlaget, (1981), 4 pages. Ingvar Lidholm (1921-) is a Swedish composer and music educator. His early style was influenced by Igor Stravinsky, Béla Bartók and Paul Hindemith. Later he became atonal, and sometimes serial. Amicizia is the Italian word for friendship. This is a contemporary piece for solo clarinet at the upper college level. It includes altissimo to B-flat but no extended techniques. There are three written movements with the first movement repeated to make four: I. (and IV.) amabile, II. drammatico, III. scherzando. Duration is about 8 minutes. (C1395)
