Bulgarian Bat Bite for Clarinet Quartet by Mike Curtis. Advance Music, 2004. Includes parts (3 B-flat and bass clarinet) and score. Commissioned by the Quartetto Italiano di Clarinetti. This challenging clarinet quartet in one movement was inspired by the composer's 1992 klezmer tour to Eastern Europe. The difficulty lies in the extensive mixed meter with rapid changes between 5/8, 2/4, 3/4, 8/8, 9/8/, 7/8, 6/8, etc. (C1435)
