A cantilène (English: cantilena) is a lyric, melodic passage for voice or instrument. This piece by French clarinetist Cahuzac certainly lives up to its name. While the tempo is a leisurely Allegretto (con fantasia) the many runs require solid technique to maintain a light and effortless feel. A beautiful piece. (C0534)
