Canto Popolare for Clarinet and Piano by Edward Elgar. Belwin Mills, SS, 4 + 2 pages. In 1904, Elgar who was wintering in Italy was inspired to write his overture In the South. The theme from this work became popular in a vocal arrangement with some lines by Shelley under the title "In Moonlight." Elgar wrote this version with Charles Draper in mind.
