Carmen Fantaisie by Pablo de Sarasate arranged for clarinet and piano by Nicolas Baldeyrou. Clarinet Edition, 2009, SS, 24 + 10 pages. Pablo de Sarasate (1844-1908) was a Spanish violinist and composer. This arrangement is based on a violin fantasy on themes from the opera Carmen by Georges Bizet. The version with piano accompaniment was originally published in 1882. Nicolas Baldeyrou (1979-) is a French clarinetist. This piece is in four movements: 1. Entr'acte (Allegro moderato), 2. L'amour est un oiseau rebelle (Moderato), 3. Près des remparts de Séville (Allegro Moderato), and 4. Les tringles des sistes tintaient (Moderato).
