Concertino for Clarinet in B-flat and Piano by Désiré Dondeyne. Leduc, 1957, SS, 11 + 6 pages. Désiré Dondeyne (1921-2015) was a French clarinetist, composer, conductor and music educator. He spent 1939-1953 as the solo clarinetist in the Musique de l'air (the French Air Force Band). This is a sectional piece. The first part is Allegro with some mixed meter and a cadenza. The second part begins Andante (3/8) but moves through a wide number of tempos and time signatures. This was the National (Paris) Conservatory test piece for 1957. (C0882)
