Concerto for Clarinet and Orchestra Clarinet and Piano by John Corigliano. G. Schirmer, 1993, SS, 80 + 28 pages. This piece was commissioned by the York Philharmonic. It was premiered in 1977 by Stanley Drucker and Leonard Bernstein to whom it is dedicated. The original is for a large orchestra. It has three movements: Cadenzas, Elegy, and Antiphonal Toccata. This edition includes two pages of description by the composer. This is a long (30 minutes), difficult work which uses some contemporary notation and technique. (C0537)
