Concerto for Clarinet and Orchestra (Piano Reduction) by Jean Françaix

Concerto for Clarinet and Orchestra (Piano Reduction) by Jean Françaix. Editions Musicales Transatlantiques, 2013, 45 + 18 pages. This is a edition of this work. It was decided that the piano reduction in the previous edition was too difficult to execute correctly. A one has been prepared by Claude Françaix (the composer's daughter) and Tiziana de Carolis. In 1992 this work was performed by Phillipe Cuper under the direction of the composer. It was determined that the tempos were too fast in each movement and that has been corrected here. This is a difficult contemporary (1968) French concerto in four movements: Allegro, Scherzando, Andantino, and Allegrissimo. (C0824)
