Concerto Op. 110 for Clarinet and Orchestra (Piano Reduction) by Lowell Liebermann

Concerto Op. 110 for Clarinet and Orchestra (Piano Reduction) by Lowell Liebermann. Theodore Presser, 2011, SS, 39 + 13 pages. Lowell Liebermann (1961-) is an American composer, pianist and conductor who studied with David Diamond and Vincent Persichetti at Julliard.. The concerto was composed in 2009 for Jon Manasse, who has performed it many times as touring repertoire. This work is an advanced 32-minute exploration of the depths and colors of clarinet concerto writing, featuring dazzling, sprightly passages. It is in three movements: I. Andante/Piu mosso/Presto (etc.), II. Larghissimo/Grave/Meno mosso/Piu mosso, and III. Allegro. It includes a performance-ready piano reduction by the composer. (C1827)
