Echappée for clarinet quartet by Robert Tucker

Echappée for clarinet quartet by Robert Tucker. Queen's Temple Publications, 1998, includes score and parts. The name of this clarinet quartet (for 3 B-flat clarinets and bass clarinet) is a French word that means "Escaped note;" defined as an ornamentation between notes proceeding in a step-wise fashion in which the ornamental note will go the opposite way of the progression, followed by the proper note in the progression. Although this is dedicated to a clarinet quartet in the UK at a high school equivalent school, the mixed meter (primarily 6/8, 4/8, and 5/8) and Allegro energico tempo makes this brief piece more suitable for a college level quartet.
