This piece was included in a rarely performed ballet entitled Nymph and Satyr written in 1978. It was discovered in the Sibley Library at the Eastman School of Music with a piano reduction by the composer. The editor (Professor of Clarinet at Kansas State University) describes it as "a beautifully flowing and expressive work, representative of Hanson's lyrical style. It is a thoroughly enjoyable work to play, and provides a beautiful diversion on any recital program." (C0649)
