This beautifully illustrated book can be both a self help book for learning the flute as well as a guide to the history, caring for the instrument, selecting a flute and even basics of embouchure, breath control and technique.  If your contemplating taking the Flute up this is a wonderful book.  It also makes a great gift for a student.  MusRefbk 0017
