For three B-flat clarinets and bass clarinet (a low C instrument is desirable but there are only a few notes in the extended range). José Pablo Moncayo García (1912-1958) was a Mexican pianist, percussionist, music teacher, composer and conductor. This is a fairly lengthy piece with each of the parts four pages long. It is Allegro in 6/8 with some portions of the music having a three feel. There are some brief percussion sections in the first and second parts calling for guiro, sonajas and tambourine. (C2259)
