Andreas Späth (1790-1876) was a German composer and conductor. He began his career as a clarinetist and pianist. This piece which was originally for clarinet and orchestra is based on Mozart's duet "Bei Männern, welche Liebe fühlen" from the Magic Flute. It consists of an introductory section (Largo), the Tema (Andante con moto), three variations and an extended concluding section. (C2621)
