Les confidences d'un Joueur de Clarinette Op. 141 Nos. 1, 3, & 15 for clarinet solo by Charles Koechlin

Les confidences d'un Joueur de Clarinette Op. 141 Nos. 1, 3, & 15 for clarinet solo by Charles Koechlin. Billaudot, 1988, 3 pages. Charles Koechlin (1867-1950) was a French composer and teacher. He was a student of Fauré who influenced his music and about whom he wrote a biography. These three pieces are part of a set of 18 for various combinations of instruments, including a few with orchestral accompaniment, that were composed in 1934 for a film The Confessions of a Clarinet Player that was never made. They are all marked for Clarinet in A. 1. Romance de Kasper, 3. Le bouquet de fleurs des champs pour Magrédel, and 15. Rage de Kasper (there are some low E-flats in this piece which appear to have been ignored on the recording). College level with some high altissimo. (C1472)
