These unique transcriptions by renowned double bassist Stefan Thomasz, from the National University of Music in Bucharest, give new life to the repertoire for this wonderful instrument. The choice for the A-E-B-F# solo tuning system enables the work to be played in its original key, thus being compatible with the piano and orchestral accompaniment of the original works for cello. These two pieces were in part, inspired by collaboration with the renowned double bassist Catalin Rotaru. This volume will surely add to the repertoire for the serious minded double bassist.
