Primer Solo Original for Clarinet and Piano by Antonio Romero y Andia edited by Pedro Rubio. Bassus Ediciones Musicales, 2008, SS, 13 + 4 pages. This piece was composed in 1856 and published with editing by Romero in 1874. There is also a version for oboe. This is a sectional piece beginning Andante sostenuoto in which the piano introduction is followed by a clarinet cadenza and the section also ends with a cadenza. Then there is a brief Allegro for piano followed by a clarinet cadenza. The middle portion of the piece is Moderato with a short cadenza in the middle. It concludes Piíº mosso. Early college level with a duration of about 10 minutes. (C1268)
