Ida Gotkovsky (1933-) is a French composer who studied with Nöel Gallon, Oliver Messiaen, Tony Aubin and Nadia Boulanger. She has won many prizes for her compositions. This is a lengthy work (23:25) in three movements: I. Lento misterioso, II. Scherzo con spirito, and III. Final (Prestissimo con Brio). There are short cadenzas for all except the basset horn part.
