Romanze in E-flat major for clarinet and orchestra (piano reduction) by Richard Strauss. Schott, 1992, SS, 18 + 2 pages. This piece is the earliest example of single movement, romance-like works which Strauss wrote in his early period. In this case, it was written for a fellow student when Strauss was 15. In 1991 Sabine Meyer performed this piece in its first performance since 1879. About 10 minutes in length. (C0607)
