Sonate in B-flat Major for Clarinet and Piano by Franz Danzi

Sonate in B-flat Major for Clarinet and Piano by Franz Danzi edited by György Balassa. Schott, 1971, SS, 35 + 7 pages. This piece is sometimes titled Sonata Concertante. Three movements: Allegro, Andante sostenuto, and Allegretto. Prof Heim wrote, "The first movement is written as solo piano with obbilgato clarinet, the second movement features a very beautiful melodice style in the clarinet with fully-scored piano accompaniment, and the third movement is a theme with several variations and a long coda. The rhythmic structure of the measures is unusual. Recommended for college and professional level receitals. The piano part requires an excellent performer." (C0606)
