The first movement is mostly in 5/8 alternating occasionally with 2/4 bars. The second movement is in 2/4 with the occasional 3/4 bar, while the third movement is mostly in 2/2 with a few measures in 3/2. Norman Heim wrote that is is a well written work of good music; excellent contemporary repertoire for advance high school students or beginning college level. (C2149)
