St Paul's Suite arranged for Clarinet Octet by Gustav Holst arranged by Elizabeth Drury. Sempre Music, 2010, SS, includes parts and score. This familiar piece was originally written for string orchestra. Here is is arranged for E-flat clarinet, 4 B-flat clarinets, alto clarinet and 2 bass clarinets. In four movements: 1. Jig (Vivace), 2. Ostinato (Presto), 3. Intermezzo (Andante con moto), and 4. Finale (The Dargason) (Allegro). While there is nothing especially tricky about this piece it moves along and is probably best suited for a college level ensemble. Duration of about 13 minutes. (C1908)
