Rolf Kühn (1929-) is a German composer, jazz and big band woodwind player who worked in the United States from 1956-62. This piece was commissioned by the Trio di Clarone for the CD Blues for Sabine featuring Sabine Meyer and Eddie Daniels. It is in three movements: I. (unnamed), II. Contacts, and III. Encounter. The first and second parts have improvised solos but this publication includes separate pages with written out solos as an alternative. An advanced work with a duration of about 13 minutes.
