Carl Reinecke (1824-1910) was a renowned German pianist and composer who wrote prolifically in all forms and for most instrumental and vocal combinations. This edition includes a forward in German and English which gives a brief biography of Reinecke and describes this piece which was written in 1903 as the work of a classically oriented Romantic. The clarinet part is for A clarinet. In four movements. 1. Moderato/Allegro, 2. Intermezzo (Moderato), 3. Legende (Andante), and 4. Finale (Allegro moderato).
