Subtitled: 6 Special Studies, the forward of this books says it is intended to prepare busy instrumentalists in 1/2 hour per day to execute difficult passages, from the standpoint of lips, tongue, and fingers. The exercises include rapid close intervals (called Trills but notated as 16th notes), special work for the left hand, special work for the right hand, articulation, all the scales and some arpeggios in one exercises, and finally an exercise that features a very wide variety of techniques ("To restore the mouth and improve sonority").
